A New Approach to Selecting Optimal Parameters for the Sliding Mode Algorithm on an Automotive Suspension System

چکیده

Stimuli from the road surface cause car vibrations. The suspension system ensures vehicle’s stability and smoothness when moving. In this research, author introduces use of active with a hydraulic actuator to improve comfort cars. Car oscillations are described based on quarter-dynamics model five state variables. Besides, nonlinear system’s SM (sliding mode) control algorithm is used system. algorithm’s parameters optimally selected using multiple loop algorithm. allows values vary within predefined limit provides an optimal parameter vibration conditions. This new point in paper compared previous studies. output simulation problem includes displacements accelerations both sprung unsprung masses. addition, change dynamics force at wheel also considered evaluating interaction between surface. According paper’s results, vehicle body’s acceleration displacement strongly reduced algorithm, cars only traditional suspension. not significant As result, car’s has been improved while lost. phenomenon “chattering” still occurs some cases; however, its effect negligible.
